Reverse Mohican

A touch of frost early on then a sunny autumn day. Took the chance while it was dry to tag some wee calves and move them and their mothers beside the rest with the bull.
Weaned the spring calves this afternoon. Shut the cows in one shed,the calves in another until the roar is off them. We won't get much sleep tonight ! The calves get a vaccine to prevent pneumonia ,plus a pour on to kill parasites and worms.We also clip a wide strip along their back line to help prevent them from sweating when housed. Could always get a job as an army barber in another life. Can only do one style- No. 1
