Mud!

Yesterday... what a nice day it was. We had a nice morning and after lunch we went down to the local field/football pitch to fly the RC plane again. Everything was delightful until it was time to leave.

My wife (place the blame early) managed to get the car stuck in the field and all attempts at freeing it only dug it in deeper. 4 hours, 3 friends, 2 police men, 1 very nice AA man and a whole lot of mud later we were still stuck. It was dark, cold and dirty. One police man even said "Yep, this is the best stuck-in-the-mud car I've ever seen. Good work!". Even the AA man seemed to think it was a lost hope when his van got stuck too when he was entering the field for the rescue.

Once we got the van free, the AA man parked outside the field and led the winch cable in over the bushes - my idea ;). The cable was only about 20 feet long but with a bunch of towing straps and cables from my friends we managed to daisy chain them all together so it would reach the car. And before you know it, freedom - and the evening was over!

I really like this photo too. Whilst I was taking the blip above, #1 was catching the Sun's rays on her hands and face. A nice moment to catch.
