Today was my first ever adventure in dragonboating. Not just any old dragon boat paddle...it was race day. Best way to learn is under the heat of competition.
Our team uniform: pirate attire (of the Pirate/private Hospital type) & the Aaarrggghhhh (not to be confused with the Scottish eeryyyeree)
A quick lesson on the different calls/commands & a whiz bang amateur warmup, much to the amusement of the neighbouring teams & we were set. We got in without capsizing & managed the first 3 commands.

Easy-peasy

We had 3 heats & made the minor final. Finishing 2nd in the 'community team' division. I think we though we should get serious about this next year & have a training session before the event. We may even enter more than one event a year...we were that good -lol-
