Saber Tooth Cat

The Page Museum (La Brea Tar Pits) certainly made our time in Los Angeles memorable. It is a place I've wished to visit since I was a little boy.

I Iearned today the animal bones excavated here are preserved unchanged in the asphalt much the same as are insects preseved unchanged in amber.

The bones and teeth of the saber tooth cat are the actual bones and teeth, not mineralzed fossils.

Needless to say, the tar pits did not disappoint.
