A day of disappointments

This is the weir on the River Severn. We headed over early afternoon to see the salmon jumping up it in order to swim upstream. I managed to see four salmon in about an hour but didn't get any photos of this amazing event.

We then headed to Haughmond Hill for a walk and to see the autumn colours. The photos I took here were also a bit disappointing and it rained on our walk too.

This evening Chris, M and K headed out to watch Shrewsbury v Chelsea with his brother and nephew. A disappointing result for C and K but not for M who supports Shrewsbury but his main team are Chelsea. Well done to Shrewsbury though for a great effort.
