Ghosts In The Graveyard

I'm pretty sure I've blipped pictures in my graveyard before but here is a recap. Behind my backyard is a graveyard called 'The Old Burying Grounds'. There are only three or four graves left (the type that lie down not stand up) due to vandilism and theft. Available records show the names of 108 the majority of them having the last name Jackson. Between 1879 and 1943 the Jackson descendents were buried there. At request of
poet-songwriter Horace Jackson, the Old Burying Ground was discontinued for regular use in 1949.

Most of the backyards that border the graveyard have a gate that opens into it. When I was little we had a tire swing back there and at one point a soccer field with painted lines and everything. My neighbors and I played manhunt back there frequently and in the winter we had snow sled trails back there. It was quite the source of entertainment when I was a kid. A few years back our fence was vandilized with "God Bless the dead" and "Hail Mary" written on it. And one time we found an abandoned picnik cloth, basket, food, candles, and a little shrine to the devil sitting back there...That was creepy.

So thanks to Stines brilliant idea I went back into the graveyard to take some night shots today. =] 30 second shutter speed (On a tripod too) got me this effect. I stood in the picture for 20 seconds. I wanted to look like a ghost and i think I achieved that. I haven't really done any night photography before but i really enjoyed this!

Another favorite from tonight is: With a blue tint.

Thank you for your comments yesterday!!! Although my tooth wasn't in any pain yesterday...it's KILLING me today. =[
