Air bumps
Spent much of today on a bumper photoshoot near the Thames at Dartford. Thank goodness for beautiful weather. There is an autumn chill in the air though, despite the bright sunshine over Kent.
This is one of the cars involved in the shoot, the Citroen Cactus. They're not the prettiest adornment on a car, but I do like the Cactus's distinctive air bumps along the sides. These squidgy air-filled plastic protectors are so useful in urban parking. Our local shopping centre has annoyingly narrow parking bays, and the air bumps make it much easier to squeeze out of the car with the door uncomfortably close to the next vehicle.
Today's bright sunshine has another bonus. In dull light, this car looks almost black, but today its unusual shed of metallic purple is much more evident. Purple cars, the next big trend? I wouldn't bank on it, but it makes a nice change from all the monochrome shades on the roads.
My 300th blip today!
