Thingy

A swift indoor blip of an item of unknown utility manufactured by Alessi. I've decided to have a go at the Mono Monday with this one.

I have just finished sorting through my photographs from the last couple of days in that London. I am not hugely happy with their quality: I left my "big camera" at home in order to travel light so some of the evening shots are too grainy and not sharp enough.

I had to take one of an archetypal City of London scene, in homage to RedFlash, whose Blipping territory this truly is.

I loved the Poppies at the Tower where, it seemed, there were as many cameras being brandished as there were blooms. From the Tower, a subsequent walk along the Thames enabled me to experiment with some heavily processed night-time shots.

The NFL game at Wembley Stadium was a terrific occasion. In addition to the actual football there was much to enjoy, including the Atlanta Falcons' cheerleaders and the colourful crowds amongst whom were several examples of Green Bay Packers' fans wearing giant lumps of cheese on their heads. There was also a pre-game "show" (i.e. two songs) by X Factor winners Little Mix, who aptly received a mixed reception from the crowd.
