Beach Hut Nostalgia

Backblipped for 15th October

Pottering along the coast to Sheringham, making acquaintance there with 92203 'The Black Prince' we ended our trip at Wells-next-the-Sea for a wander along the beach.

There is a wide variation in style of beach hut architecture but these reminded me of the original bathing machines, which would have been wheeled into the sea to allow ladies to descend into the water without the indignity of crossing the beach, wearing only their bathing dress.

In the woods behind these huts were serious birdwatchers, all equipped with the biggest and best photographic kit and camouflage clothing, perhaps it is on a migration route. I saw a robin....
