Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead

Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead.

This week is the Secret Mother's Day room at Charlotte's school. Items are donated throughout the year and we (the PTFA) have secret rooms for the children to be able to come in and purchase items in 'Secret' so their Mom's have something 'nice' to open on the day. (We also run Father's Day and Christmas Secret Rooms). All items range from .50p to £2.00 and once the child selects their gift, they hand it in with their money and we, the elfs, wrap it and label it and put it aside till the end of the week. The idea is for the children to keep it a secret until the receiver gets to open it, but usually they burst out the school door with 'Guess what I got you today!' or 'I'm not going to tell you about the hot water bottle I got you.'

I always ensure that I don't work the first day as it gives Charlotte time to go choose a gift independently. However, I also give Charlotte the first day as it's the second day that I normally donate to ensure I don't get the items back (as happened the first time we did this!). Most parents are fully aware that many of the items donated will be received back as children think 'Oh! I know my mom/dad/grandma/etc will love this because they have one just like it at home!' Over the years, we have tried to ensure children avoid these items, although a few slip through our radar.

After the morning Secret's room, I had to go into town to purchase more wrapping paper and tape which I was very grateful for as I past my library and noticed the Shropshire Winter Read ends tomorrow. I very geekily emailed my submissions from my phone and filled out the forms with 'see email' - gotta love technology. Meanwhile, I found some lovely books in the charity shops, including two from the Horrible Geography and one from the Horrible Science!

Tonight is Photoshop class. Hoping we get an assignment soon as it's hard working without a goal.

Before you can score you must first have a goal.
