Otterspool Park
Liverpool parks (5). This is my closest park and runs from Aigburth Vale down to Otterspool Promenade, which was created in 1950 from reclaimed land and waste disposal. It allows you to walk, or cycle, all the way along the Mersey to the Albert Dock in the city centre, and often affords great views of the Clwyd hills. The journey is nearly always much easier in one direction, because of the wind. Fishermen are common here, too. They are now catching cod as well as whiting, and say that they have seen porpoises. Porpoises in the Mersey? What next?
