Poppies

I'm in London for the NFL game at Wembley tomorrow. My son Tom and I travelled down by train. The Virgin announcement of the day was as follows: "Due to a fault in the coffee machine, this afternoon we will only be able to serve tea and coffee."

I was keen to visit the display of poppies in the moat around the Tower of London. There were huge crowds and the mass of blooms, representing the multitudes who died in World War One, was overwhelming. So I chose a detailed shot with contrasts.
