Looks good enough to eat but ........

DO NOT it is highly poisonous!!!!! This is a Fly Agaric, an older specimen that has had the typical white warts washed off by the rain and the colour has faded from the vivid scarlet when it first emerged. We spotted it while walking in woodland. Amazing an idea to blip fungi today and I ended up with three lovely specimens. I particularly liked this one because of the lovely orange and red colours.

Although poisonous the Sami people of Lapland used these fungi as an hallucinogen - 'magic mushrooms' ---so is therefore not a fungi to ingest......

the blip of the day WARNING........
