An early morning visitor

For the last few mornings a heron (probably this one) has visited the pond. It stands very still on a small bank until an unfortunate frog or fish wanders by.

I decided that I would try to photograph the heron today or tomorrow, lucky break it turned up this morning. I do have to take the shot learning from an upstairs window but that is in the cause of blipping.
