Joan

Joan is my friend. We met up with her today as she was serving at the lunch counter. I photographed her beside her photo which was taken in July when she carried the Commonwealth Games baton...... she was nominated by friends in the community as she is such a great example to everyone. At eighty four she still works part time; she looks after her grandchildren some days; she walks with a walking club, up to eight miles at a time; she has never claimed benefits in her life. And she has the biggest smile you could ever imagine.
