Road works

Finally the men from the water board turned up, an hour late, but I was grateful that after three weeks of trying to get them to accept there is a problem, something is being done. They took a circular saw to an asbestos pipe(!) and replaced a joint at the bottom of the down pipe. Having filled in the hole, we tested the job by running a lot of water through from the neighbour's. It poured through our wall again so on Monday they have to dig up the whole street. I am happy at least that the problem has been identified and should, at some point, be resolved.
