Along the path

If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.

It would appear if you turn your back on a garden, the revolution that is powered by evolution makes its present felt.
I pointed the slabs of the path some four years ago, but little tufts of grass are shooting up everywhere.
It is probably my own fault for feeding the birds with wild seed.
