Tired to retired

I started to fall
And suddenly woke
And the dew on the grass
It stuck to my coat
And all that I knew
The hole in my shoe
Was letting in water (letting in water)

These shoes take pride of place on the kitchen waste bin, prior to being thrown out with the refuse tomorrow. If plimsolls ever had MOTs then I'm afraid the treads on these would fail dismally!
