My favorite shot from a day trip to Wairere falls near Matamata.

Just another normal weekend, go on a hike to check out water falling off a massive cliff.

The water level was quite low because it hasn't rained a lot here lately, but it was still a cool waterfall to go and check out, with plenty of spots along the river to stop and take a swim.

There are so many huge rocks that the water flows in and around, that it is possible to go all the way up the river hoping from rock to rock till you reach the falls where you can go for a swim.

If you know Lord of The Rings, this place is right near where they filmed The Shire.
