Never too old to learn

A late blip due to a pleasant impromptu pint and catch up with a friend. Work today and WI committee meeting tonight. It was at the house of a member who had a foot op last Friday and whilst in general I'd say the NHS does a great job, this did nothing to install confidence in our health system. Having been told she'd be up and about in a couple of days she actually none weight bearing for a fortnight. Her lovely husband insisted we should have cake for our meeting and being WI homemade was required. With Bero book to hand he baked his first ever cake for us, a delicious light sponge much enjoyed by all. True WI spirit but we still can't allow him to be a member!
