A little ray of sunshine

Leaves, leaves, leaves

With nothing in the diary today and only one job I had to get done I let the weather dictate my day. The high wind and rain therefore meant a lovely morning with a large pot of coffee, radio 4 and my sewing machine. Those cub badges we're tempting me, sewing them on to a stretchy fabric and whilst ensuring they are straight isn't my favourite type of sewing. That's one for when there's something worth watching on TV.

Thankfully the weather improved this afternoon, so after a shopping trip to buy large quantities of dried fruit, stout and sugar etc. ready for mass figgy pudding making on Thursday, I had a very pleasant walk through the woods at St Ives. Back home to pick up the copious amount of leaves that have fallen since Andrew collected 3 bags full on Sunday morning. They swirl round and land on the door step and by the time we got back from school they up above C's knees. 6 bags of leaves donated to my neighbour and then back home for tea.
