Today we completed the second half of our seminar Walk Thru the Bible. This is a one-evening and one-morning walk through the New Testament. It uses visual pictures and a visual map on the floor to make the events of the Bible come to life and put into chronological order so that the Bible makes more sense while you're reading it. We attended last year's Walk Thru the Bible (Old Testament) and learned a lot from it...so we were looking forward to this one as well. They teach the kids the same thing as the adults, but in a different way using puppets, videos, etc. It was so amazing to watch the kids recite the important events of the Bible in order as well as doing the hand motions that went along with helping them remember.

After Walk Thru the Bible, we went to baseball practice and then to a co-ed baby shower. This was the first time my whole family has attended a baby shower. We learned that my youngest little one was confused about it all when he asked "We all go somewhere and take a shower together?" I had to explain that a baby shower was about showering the mommy-to-be with blessings and gifts for the new baby. I think he was relieved!

This shower was for my second-cousin Valene. She is expecting her first baby in April! It is so strange to see her all grown up and having a baby of her own. I remember her as a little girl coming to my baby showers! She has decided to name her baby Gavin Tyler...and so my photo Blip of the day is of her shower favor.
