The Patriarch at the National Theatre in Helsinki

Today we arrived in Helsinki by train and saw a magnificent Edward Munch exhibition at the Didrichsen Gallery in Kuusisaari island. We walked almost all the way back, because we missed the bus... and the weather was freezing.

Afterwards we went to Virgin Oil for some pizza and beer, which helped us regain our body temperatures.

Then quickly for the National Theatre to see the play by Juha Jokela, Patriarkka. The opening scene was set with a huge mirror from the floor to the ceiling, which reflected the audience, so of course I had to take a blip! It was a very good play about the generation drift between ours and our parents' generations. Not a dull moment there, and neither of us dozed off, which we both often do at the theatre.
