Bullfinch on feeder
Bullfinch are an infrequent garden visitor but always appear in poor light so difficult to get a good shot. They also always sit with their back to the house. With that and the caged feeder and flowers growing in front this was best I could do with the back door open a crack so as not to disturb her.
The photograph is straight its the feeder that is bending over due to the local grey squirrels shaking it in frustration, they love sunflower seeds but their little paws can only scoop up any seeds the nuthatch has rejected and left on the tray at the bottom of feeder. Its not just grey squirrel the Magpies Jackdaws and Crows take flying leaps at it as well. Luckily none of the larger birds stay long so the smaller birds get their fill.
