Species

The gusty wind blew us to Oxford today. These beautiful "species", somehow created by us, gathered at Pitt Rivers Museum to explore, run, jump in dinosaur footprints, observe bees, hide and seek, look at the collections of animals, dinosaurs, rocks, insects and stroke a stuffed Shetland Pony.

E asked what lots of the signs said and was so pleased after my repeated "Fragile, do not touch" when I finally cringed and read, "Please touch (the stuffed pony). It was the first thing she told Chris when we got home. We also had lunch in the gallery and Sam and I squeezed in as much mum-to-mum chatter as possible. This has got to last us until next July when they'll be back on UK soil after their big move to Indonesia next week.
