Damage Limitation

As expected, the fierce winds have stripped many of the Boston Ivy leaves from the wall before they've had a chance to go fully red. However there are enough left to make a decent blip if I add in some dahlias and penstemmon:-)

A friend and I were invited for coffee with a lady we met at the group we joined recently, but we were not expecting the spread she put on for us! Smoked salmon open sandwiches with lemon wedges, crackers with pate and baby tomatoes, shortbread and stollen to follow:-) All very nice, but we both agreed that it's not going to become a competition when we invite her back!
