Loch Faskally
We decided we must get out while the weather held to see the autumn colours round Loch Faskally by Pitlochry. It's one of Perthshire's many beautiful scenic spots, especially at this time of year.
The sun kept teasing by hiding behind grey clouds and then popping out for a minute, so photography was tricky, as you never knew what light you were going to get, but I hope this shot gives an idea of just how beautiful it was.
We did the full circuit of the loch today, but another time we wouldn't bother with the side opposite the Pitlochry Theatre as the view of the loch and the woods is rather limited by houses and a hotel, as well as the trees themselves.
We had a picnic lunch sitting on a bench looking out at this view and I could have sat there for hours just watching the light change on the water:-) Hope we get some more days like this before the leaves all fall and we'll be back!
