Lego city

After a late breakfast, Mo went off with Matt to meet up with his pal - leaving me, George and Andy at the LEGO shop in the Rockefeller Centre.

We took the opportunity to make some mini-figures of ourselves before setting off to explore Central Park.

We hired some bikes and rode around the park, pausing only to get a hotdog and admire the Guggenheim. It felt great to be pedalling along with the wind in your hair; an antidote to the stop-and-start walking around the crowded streets.

Afterwards we went rowing on the boating lake. Well, I rowed, and they kept making up warnings like "Dad! Watch out for that duck!" or "Look out - shark ahead!" And of course, completely failing to point out when I was about to collide with an island.
