Holburn Street Station
It looks like Cosmo and I have arrived too late for the train. In fact we are about 70 years too late as this station closed in 1937, and the line itself closed in 1966. It used to run from Aberdeen to Balloter. It would have gone as far as Braemar but Queen Victoria did not want the riff raff getting too close to her estate at Balmoral.
Cosmo had a new washing machine being delivered this morning which was quite exciting for her. Two men arrived to fit it and she was quite welcoming to them and didn't bark at them.
After they had gone we had a walk along the Deeside railway line, including the station shown here. I expect it looked rather different when King Edward VII alighted here in 1906.
