A day in the woods

We took advantage of the beautiful sunny afternoon, packed sandwiches, coffee in the thermos, and drove to the hills to look for mushrooms and to enjoy the wonderful forest. There are many trails, also open areas. Douglas fir and cedar trees are the main large trees, vine maple is also abundant and so pretty in the autumn colors. We found chanterelles in the usual spots. Altogether a good day!
