Clear Day

Start of a new week and the first day is always a challenge but AMAZINGLY, there were none of the usual traffic jams and general annoyance first thing in the morning normally associated with a Sunday. Couldn't help noticing how clear the sky was mid-afternoon. I haven't seen it this clear since before the summer. The view looks out towards the airport, in fact, if you go large you can see the control tower and on the left, you can see Dubai Frame (the largest frame in the world) under construction. Dubai of course has to have this. I blipped almost the same view in January and you can see the difference in the construction). And while you're large, look out for Lamcy Plaza (Toshiba sign) which is the pink I need for my picture.

And after work, I took another taxi to Dubai Mall to meet up with G and an ex-colleague of hers. It would seem the day morphed into one of those days when you regret every decision you made! G had said which café she would be at but when I got there, it was under renovation. I tried phoning but her phone was on silent and it took her over an hour of waiting for me before she picked her phone up and acknowledged MANY call attempts and messages I had sent! I was er... MAD!

Anyway, G & her friend continued on as if it were nothing though they did apologise, so after I'd had my say, I joined them! :)

Got home just before 10pm - MUCH later than anticipated. Yikes!! Sorry if I've moaned a bit; someone in the upstairs flat was either assembling furniture or finishing a project or something, but they had the audacity to be hammering something after midnight! Just before 1am, I actually got out of bed and dressed to go and ask what was going on and if it was really necessary to be assembling furniture at that time of the night. The sound stopped so I didn't knock on any doors! Got back into bed only for it to start up again!! Ugh. So, as a result, I haven't had a proper night's rest... Glad I didn't have one of my super early mornings.
