New Trailer

Wasn't really expecting to buy this, which is why we bought ramps.

The idea was that we could get a lawn tractor on and off the pickups easily. I'm mad and crazy, but even I don't like getting a 500lb mower off the back of the truck myself. We did it once yesterday and that was frightening enough, especially when the steering turned halfway down the ramp. It was an experience I didn't want to repeat, and if I did repeat would turn into a nightmare one day with a broken lawn tractor.

And then the wife had nightmares last night about driving it off the back of the truck in a semi Dukes of Hazzard way. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't considered it, but I wouldn't be lying if I said that I had also ruled it out.

So first thing this morning we registered the Ranger at the local DMV (arm and a leg), and then we bought the trailer. And then discovered we have no brake lights on the trailer or the truck. I'll come back to that (I don't have a choice).
