Outside of the Ballroom

Tonight we are in Mankato, MN for a 50th Anniversary celebration of The Gestures. The Gestures were a local teen-age rock and roll band who had one hit song in 1964, Run, Run, Run. The band broke up shortly after that and two of the four have since died. Tonight, however, the KATO Ballroom was packed with fans excited to hear the Gestures play. Here is a fun shot of the crowd.
Sometimes the outside of the ballroom is as interesting as the inside. I like the quiet, calmer feel of this shot. The KATO ballroom hasn't had much updating since the 60's. A classic car club brought in some 1960's cars to add to the atmosphere.
