The Usual Suspects

What a great time we had! We've known these two couples for almost 40 years, and it's always so much fun when we get together. Stimulating conversation, lots of laughs, and of course delicious food are always givens. G and the other two guys worked together at an elementary school that was way ahead of its time, with a staff that was completely focused on meeting the needs of every student. Ken was one of the teachers who worked together so well under the exemplary leadership of Gary (on the right), who was the principal, and G, who was the vice principal. Genny, Ken's wife is also a teacher - and Vicki, Gary's wife, has been part of many discussions about educational philosophy that we've had over the years. Unfortunately one of our other close friends, who was on the staff and now lives on Vancouver Island, couldn't make it over because of bad weather. :(
It was a miserable day weather-wise, but I really wanted a photo of all of us and the light was better outside. Gary got together as many hats as he had - unfortunately only 5 of them, and I couldn't possibly get my hair wet, so I'm not in the picture. :D
And I quite like that hat on G!
There aren't many things more precious in life than good friends. We're so lucky to have these four in our circle.
