"PROGRESS"

Went up the hill this afternoon to deposit a carrier bag full of empties in the nearest bottle-bank.

There used to be one just 30 metres from my door in Place Bossuet, but just a week after receiving an official letter from the commune instructing me to put the coloured glass into the container labelled "coloured glass" & the transparent stuff into those labelled "white glass" they did away with the one in Place Bossuet!

This is called "progress" - the guys who empty the bottle-banks have half the work - the punters who fill them have five times the exercise - everyone's a winner :o#

Anyway - took me past this view of the old & the new.

La Botanique used to be Brussels's equivalent to Kew Gardens - now it's a somewhat untrendy rock venue...

So it goes...
