Khaosan Rd

The infamous Khaosan Rd in Bangkok! We braved the crowds and headed down for a few beers and a spot of people watching.

Earlier in the day we'd headed to the palace, where we were approached by a con artist who told us that it was closed, and for a really cheap fee he'd take us around Bangkok in his tuk-tuk. Not so fast Mr, you're out of luk-luk with these seasoned travellers (OK, we did listen and consider that it may well be closed, but only for 5 minutes or so, really!)...the palace was open all day and they even provided us with sarongs so we weren't parading our lovely legs around the grounds.
