Swimming club

Piccadilly Circus was busy last night, so it was nice to swap the bustle outside the underground for the stately surroundings of the RAC Club which has one of the grandest swimming pools in London.

The hard core remnants of our summer writing course are holding monthly get togethers in the club. They're a good lot. Last night there was Kari who works at Bloomberg's, Vicky who knows more than most about the Plantagenets, Anne who develops TV comedy scripts for a living, and Sue who used to work on BBC radio's Farming Today programme. Quite an eclectic bunch. Oh, and there was a beer festival in the Long Bar. My kind of club.
