It's a Marvellous Night for a Moondance...
00.37 2nd August 2007
Took a 'tracking ' shot for yesterday's Blip, and the clouds started forming. They are being lit by the moon, just off to the right of this shot.
As with the previous pic Last Nights Shot Cassiopeia is in there again - top left - 'W' shape.
Cassiopeia is sitting due East from my location.
I thought that this shot looked a bit like the Aurora Borealis ( Northern Lights ) which were visible fairly regularly where I lived before on Deeside, Aberdeenshire. No sign of them in East Lothian yet, though people say it does happen!
Almost full moon.
Nikon D40 on tripod.
Manual setting.
Bulb. ( 3 Min Exposure @ f6.3 )
Zoom set to 18mm.
Shutter fired by IR remote.
