Evening Falls

Sorry MLY, I changed the pic. The evening sun just cast too perfect a light on this autumnal leaf. Just loved the colours (yes, I know, I'm a colour freak!),

Today I woke up in a horrible state. N raced around to give me her professional (she's a nurse) opinion. A few Ahhhhs later, she diagnosed it as being viral and nothing a visit to the doctor could improve. She prescribed rest and lots of fluids, as well as breathing (which apparently I wasn't doing properly).

I have had a lovely day of R&R, I just wish I were well enough to enjoy it!

Harvey came to spend the afternoon with C and me.

We watched Monarch butterflies flitter about against a perfect blue sky while I drank tea and sewed.

I'm going to have tea with the P family and then off to my beddie byes early.

There's bread baking in my kitchen, but I can't smell it. Hopefully tomorrow my taste buds and sense of smell will return.

Why is it that when you have a blocked nose you can still smell the bad smells but none of the good ones? Hmm, I wonder ...
