Lunch and More Letters to Post

Amelie and I met an old University friend who had travelled through from Glasgow. We travelled by bus, (at the top back on the way and top front on way back), ate at Valvona and Crolla, and generally enjoyed each other's company. Our family didn't have a car until I was in my late teens so walking or bus was mandatory. It's funny that my grandchildren see the bus as a treat! Mind you in Glasgow in the 50s and 60s it definitely wasn't too much fun - long waits for the 10A, smoking but no spitting upstairs, and the peculiar combination of fumes and damp air.

Got back and tackled more letters to some of the lovely people who wrote when Steve died. Now I just have to get round to posting them!
