Welcome
The hundreds of begonias in our hotel garden are always a cheery welcome when we come back from a day out.
Two contrasting visits today. First we went to a place close to the hotel at which we enjoyed a presentation about the history of Jersey. The place was spoilt by a huge very tacky gift shop. Our other visit took us to the other extreme, a very classy little vineyard. We took a guided tour and tasted the lovely wines, but didn't buy any as they were very expensive.
Our last afternoon was spent driving down the narrow green lanes of this pretty island. On a distant promontory we found a German bunker within which had been set up a tiny kitchen where they served sea food snacks. Their king prawn kebabs were delicious! We haven't had as much seafood here as we expected.
