Too cold for a picnic.

I wandered in the car this morning, looking for autumn colours but most of the trees were still a dull green. I'll need to go back. I loved this glimpse of a green glade just off Ranmore Common.
I was distressed this morning to see the photos of a magnificent bull elephant shot by a German hunter. What a wicked sport that is. In fact, how can it be called a sport?. It is almost worse than the poachers who at least kill elephants for money. What a waste of a beautiful beast.
