On the Bright Side

Driving over the top of the String Road in thick mist and rain this morning, we almost cancelled our plans for the day, but the detailed forecast had forecast dry weather & white cloud for the west side of the island so we drove slowly downhill ......... and into ever-brightening sunlight. A short walk in the sun was followed by a yummy lunch of pides** at the fab Cafe Thyme north of Machrie and a glorious afternoon drive home round the south of the island. Difficult to choose one image from all my photos.

** pides are Turkish pizzas made on the premises in special ovens and they are beyond delicious!
