October Leaves
It's amazing what can change in two hours , and while we strode into town this morning in greyness and a fine drizzle, we returned home to sunshine bringing alive the colours of the autumn leaves on the trees outside the house.
We were on a mission to see the John Byrne exhibition in the Portrait Gallery.
His Lordship, being a man of artistic tendencies had long since seen it, but I had always assumed that I would go 'sometime', and had it not been for Gillipaw's prompting yesterday, the 'sometime' would definitely have been too late, and I would have missed seeing an amazing talent on display.
Once in town, I had it in mind to buy some green ink cartridges for my new pen. It was LeeAnne who planted the seed of trendy colours when she mentioned her purple ink.
As an example of Sod's Law, a lady had bought up the entire stock of green cartridges in the Pen Shop yesterday and they only had red, blue or black left.
Still, the biscuit and cup of coffee in the Portrait Gallery was worth the disappointment.
