Fast food

The longest day! I had done a good couple of hours before the rest of my lot arrived in the office. Had bought warm croissants to keep them going which went down well. Then lurched from one meeting to the next. Survived another set of feedback on the QAA document - my tongue is getting rather sore given all the biting I'm having to do! Swapped hats and performed a double act with a fellow conspirator presenting a very persuasive argument (tho' I say it myself!) on why we should shift the way we determine degree classes. Academics are SO risk averse and stuck so solidly in practice they've never questioned - argh! It's like trying to shift the titanic! Then speedy transfer to the other campus for a two hour emergency meeting about a completely different area of business. Collapsed into very nice armchair in Students' Union at 5pm to wait for A to finish teaching at 6. By the time we got home we couldn't face cooking, hence the very welcome tea at the pub. Definitely retrieved the day.
