Serious boys' toys

My little quadcopter has nothing on this. Not that it has much on anything now after its (short) submersion in the sea. This one hovers in a strong breeze without touching the controls. You can see on your Android phone what the camera is viewing and in my limited experience best of the lot, if you lose contact it automatically flies itself back to its launch spot. I want one!
Today two friends from my archaeology course and myself went exploring some sites on South Uist. At times it felt like being on the set of "Last of the Summer Wine", Sandwiches and thermoses on the grass in the sun and talking about what this grassy mound might or might not be. A very gentle and good day.
