to say thank you :)

Today I took my laptop and memory stick down to the church to give a talk on my photography to the Women's Fellowship :)

I had thousands just over 100 pictures and rather than write what I was going to say, I just thought about it and then talked to them whilst going through the pictures :)

All in all it worked quite well and I was given these lovely freesias together with some notelets and a pen to say thank you which was lovely of them :)

Phew! My first ever talk on my photography now done and they all said how much they enjoyed it and how well I did :)

Slight drawback to the whole day. Last night I left church after the evening Prayer Meeting, pulled up at the traffic lights. Put the hand brake on and it came up much further than normal. Scary stuff! I kept checking the brakes and gears all the way home and drove slower than normal just in case. All was find apart from the hand brake!

This morning I went down to church to meet up with someone who showed me how to set up the projector with my laptop (another skill learnt, though whether I remember it is another thing) :)

I got to the bottom of my road, and braked. Or tried to! I had to floor the brake to stop which is not normal.... and really frightening!

so after setting up I brought the car home slowly and went back in a taxi to give the actual talk. A very kind lady brought me home again :)

So now my car is booked into the garage but not until next Tuesday :(

Its a good job the Retreat was cancelled...there's always a reason :)

Home, pjs on and the heating turned up for the first time this autumn to get rid of the chill! An early night I think, along with a late morning tomorrow...
