Paddlers on Pupuke

This morning when I went up to the 5th floor of the hospital to assess a patient for her treatment team, I saw out the window a group of four canoeists speedily crossing Lake Pupuke. The ancient volcanic crater is the training centre for NZ canoeists; it is possible that this group includes a past, present or future world champion.

I just like the sun catching the wakes they have set up.
