The Sunset from Applecross

Off early after breakfast and on the road to Inverness

A stop at Culloden and a trip to the Culloden Battlefield Museum. Andrea actually agreed to pay for something....so we got to go! A very interesting museum about a well known period in Scottish history that I knew very little about....I do now!

Lunch in Inverness ( Haggis Roll)

A stop at Black Isle brewery for a quick tour and a few takeaway beers and a tshirt!

Onwards to Applecrosss and my favourite drive in Scotland.... ( Bealach Na Ba) The Pass of the Cattle! ( apparently the 3rd highest road in Scotland)
The landscape is beautifully rugged and the road is beautifully scary!

Down the other side to Applecross......and an amazing sunset, looking across to Raasay and Skye! This is truly one of my favourite places in Scotland!

A few beers/some great seafood and a very fine Ardbeg later and I'm ready for my bed!
