Spinks Smokies

An early start this morning and on the road to Aberdeen.....

First stop St Andrews, first time here and first time driving up this way. Very cool town with the obvious student influence..... Cool bars/coffee shops/bottle shops/shop shops

Next on the road to Arbroath..... Not quite as cool as St Andrews but the home of Arbroath Smokies ( recently granted EU Protected Geographical Protection.... ie they can only be called smokies if they are made in Arbroath! Smoked Haddock in other words ) .... Walking around we spotted M&M Spinks and one of the Spinks men was happy to pose at the window for a photo.... So we had to try his smokies ( another first for me), they were amazing!

On the road again and next and final stop was Aberdeen..... A quick check in to our hotel ( booked by my sis who works for the chain, great room! ) and a walk into town..... Coffee/shopping and thy we find ourselves at BREWDOG..... What are the chances? The first Brewdog bar in Scotland..... I write this as I enjoy a tequila and lime infused Jackhammer..... I love holidays!
